1. License grant
Stare grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Stare application on Apple-branded computers you own or control, for personal or business purposes, in accordance with the Mac App Store Terms of Service.
2. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Stare to violate any law, infringe anyone's rights, or impersonate another person in a way that causes harm. You agree not to redistribute the application binary, attempt to derive its source code, or use it in any commercial product that competes with Stare.
3. No reverse engineering
You may not decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code of Stare, except to the extent that such activity is expressly permitted by applicable law notwithstanding this limitation.
4. Account terms
Some features require a Stare account, which is created when you first sign in. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You may close your account at any time by emailing support.
5. Trial and purchase
Stare is free to use for thirty (30) days from first launch. After the trial period, continued use requires a one-time purchase through the Mac App Store. Trial usage is intended for personal evaluation and is not extended on request.
6. No warranty
Stare is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the gaze correction output will be perceptually correct in every situation, that the application will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that defects will be corrected.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event shall Stare or its developer be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your use of or inability to use the application.
8. Mac App Store EULA
Stare is distributed through the Mac App Store. Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to your use of Stare and takes precedence over these terms where the two conflict.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the changelog and, where they affect existing accounts, via email. Continued use of the application after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [jurisdiction TBD before launch], without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.
